Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s apology to the president has been welcomed by political and religious leaders from across the country. They noted that the differences between the two leaders had politically polarized the country culminating in an impeachment motion against the DP. The apology, they said, is a good step towards uniting the country. Politicians were however cautioned against using the motion to promote divisive politics.
