The ministry of Education says all grade nine classrooms under construction will be complete in time for transition of the first cohort on January next year. CS Julius Migos Ogamba says up to 16,000 facilities are currently under construction across the country in a partnership between the world bank and the Kenyan government. CS Ogamba also says the ministry is in the process of absorbing the 46,000 intern teachers, who have been at the center of a government dispute with teachers unions, into permanent and pensionable terms.
