Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has defended the public private partnerships by the government including the proposed takeover of the JKIA by the Adani Group. Speaking in Mombasa Odinga says the country is in dire need of infrastructure upgrade with no resources from the exchequer leaving the PPPs as the only option. And as Stephen Letoo reports, Odinga says there is still no sufficient PPP framework to safeguard Kenyans interests under private investors.
