Human rights activists in Narok County have called off planned protests after police in the area re-arrested five suspects linked to recent murder cases that had stirred concerns over public safety. The demonstrations were initially organized in response to a surge in insecurity, especially after the initial release of the suspects due to lack of sufficient evidence. Narok County Police Commander Riko Ngare however confirmed that the re-arrests were based on new evidence, asserting that the police are committed to securing justice for the victims and restoring public safety.
