The Kenya Association of Manufacturers are raising concerns on the procedure used to award a multi-million tender to Adani Energies through a non-competitive process. Appearing before the Senate Energy Committee, the Kenya association of manufacturers emphasized that while the project itself may have merit, Adani’s involvement should be determined through a transparent, and competitive bidding process. Committee members also questioned why energy costs in Kenya continue to rise calling for sustainable solutions between government and the private sector.
