The Open University of Kenya,the country's first fully online university has received a commendation from the National Assembly Committee of Education one year after its establishment expressing satisfaction with the institution's growth.Although the university led by vice chancellor Elijah Omwenga had initially aimed to enroll 6700 students by the end of the year it has managed to enroll 3,600.The committee also encouraged the university to expand its reach to remote areas and the wider East African region.
