Gachagua challenges his impeachment process

Impeached deputy president Rigathi Gachagua could remain in office longer as his legal team is now challenging the empanelment of a three-judge bench by deputy chief justice Philomena Mwilu instead of chief justice Martha Koome. Gachagua, who was present in court, also sought and clarified that the cases that gave him a reprieve were not before the bench as fears that Kithure Kindiki would be sworn in to replace him were evident as Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi hinted. The legal showdown witnessed could possibly further derail the determination of who is the Deputy President.
