287 self-help groups in Kilifi County have benefited from a grant of 983.7 million shillings from the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Socio-Economic Development (KEMFSED) Project. Kilifi County Governor Gideon Mung’aro said the grants will enable the 16,040 members of the beneficiary groups to undertake various projects, which are expected to impact around 98,640 residents of Kilifi County. Mung’aro further urged the beneficiaries to ensure transparency in the implementation of their projects, emphasizing that the success of these initiatives will play a key role in strengthening the county’s economy.
