A burial service at St. John's ACK Church in Kiambaa, Kiambu County was temporarily interrupted after alleged members of the Mungiki stormed the venue. According to the bereaved, led by Eric Mutura who is a politician, the alleged sect members were being dropped using buses along the road, causing panic among mourners. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was expected to grace the occasion. While urging youth to desist from being used to fuel chaos, they took issue with two Members of Parliament from Kiambu County, who are alleged to have sponsored the group.
