Azimio la Umoja one Kenya leader Raila Odinga has criticized members of the national assembly for hindering the timely disbursement of funds to counties by blocking the initial allocation of ksh 400 billion, which was approved by the senate in the appropriations act. The national assembly has proposed reducing this amount to ksh 380 billion. Odinga contends that the ongoing deadlock between MPs and senators in the mediation committee is delaying much-needed funding for county governments, which rely on these resources to maintain essential services.
