Lawyers representing detained ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye now say they cannot tell whether a search by the directorate of criminal investigations at a hotel room where he was captured, interfered with the scene, or if the detectives carried away any material. Lukwago says the opposition veteran is still in custody, bearing up against mistreatment amid health concerns.
