Members of Parliament from Bomet County want the county's health chief officer to take responsibility for the death of a patient that occurred at Longisa referral hospital allegedly due to negligence of medics. Led by Bomet Senator Hillary Sigei, the lawmakers lamented the healthcare in the region system was in limbo with various medical facilities lacking medication. The MPs also want ethics and anti-corruption to investigate alleged cases of bribery at hospitals in Bomet County.
