Nairobi-based social movement Bunge la Mwananchi has strongly backed the Kenya Railways-UK government-funded Nairobi Railway City Project.
Led by its president, Frank Awino, the group claims that certain private entities are attempting to derail the project, which aims to decongest the Central Business District, enhance urban mobility, and introduce modern infrastructure for residents and visitors.
The Kenya-UK partnership for the project was announced earlier this month by President William Ruto following discussions with UK High Commissioner to Kenya, Neil Wigan. __
