Authorities in Kilifi County have rescued thirty children from a children’s rescue centre operated by a coupe allegedly without proper authorization. Led by Malindi Assistant County Commissioner Irene Munyoki and Malindi Sub-County Children's Officer Sebastian Muteti, the multi-agency team stormed the facility and shut it down, following a tip-off from members of the public. The proprietors of the alleged illegal children’s rescue centre are being held at the Malindi Police Station. The rescued children are being housed in a children's home in Sabaki Ward as authorities work to reunite them with their families.
