    Casesof teen pregnancy in Busia County continue to escalate with factors such as floods that displace families rendering the youth vulnerable blamed for the trend. Medical Services Director Jane Rose Ambuchi also cited the County’s low contraceptive uptake of just 18 percent, far below the national average of 57 percent. Speaking during celebrations to mark the World Contraceptives Day. Ambuchi blamed myths and misconceptions on contraceptives for the low uptake.
