Concerns over decision to exclude HIV/AIDS and diabetes patients

Stakeholders are raising concerns following the government's decision to exclude HIV/AIDs and diabetes patients from the newly rolled out Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF). This move leaves these patients reliant on donors who are already withdrawing from the country. These concerns emerged during a conference aimed at developing strategies for investment in reproductive health among young people, to eliminate HIV infections, early pregnancies, and sexual and gender-based violence.
