Conservationists in the resort town of Malindi Kilifi county are advocating for sustainable tourism to push for a cleaner and greener town.Under the umbrella of the Progress Welfare Association of Malindi, conservationists want stakeholders to embrace the circular economy to reduce and manage waste and ensure people live in a clean environment. Malindi Green and Blue Chairperson Effie Opiyo says since 2019, they have been cleaning the resort town and sensitizing the community on the importance of segregation and managing waste.
