The Controller of Budget has flagged governors that are operating multiple bank accounts to cover up misuse of public funds. The controller of budget report for the first quarter of 2024/25 shows that some counties are running more than 300 bank accounts flouting the requirement. And as Stephen Letoo reports, governors Anne Waiguru of Kirinyaga and Patrick Ole Ntutu of Narok spent highest on development while Nairobi's Johnson Sakaja recorded zero expenditure in development.
