Cotton farmers in Homa Bay County are urging the national government to enhance its support by providing more BT cotton seeds to help meet their production targets.The county currently cultivates 6,600 acres of BT cotton and 5,800 acres of conventional cotton where farmers fall short of their desired acreage goals. Judith Ombok, the County Chief Officer for Agriculture, has emphasized the importance of increasing seed availability to support local farmers in overcoming production challenges and maximizing their output.
