Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli is now calling for an evaluation of the Deputy President position and wants the country to move back to the presidential appointees as Deputy President. The current constitution does not provide the leeway for the president to fire the deputy unless through an impeachment process. The 2010 constitution entails any bid to remove a Deputy President from office even as the debate on kicking out DP Rigathi Gachagua gains momentum.
