Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku is challenging the Council of Governors to find strategies to safeguard USAID staff who are facing possible layoffs after the move by the US to halt government-funded health programs. Ole Lenku who spoke at Dalalekutut Ward said the impending lay-offs will affect the health sector. This even as he announced plans to absorb at least 200 employees that were employed under USAID in the county.
