The legal woes facing Acting Inspector General of police Gilbert Masengeli deepened Wednesday after the Court of Appeal declined to stop his six-month jail sentence pending the hearing of his appeal. Attempts by his legal team to have the three Judge bench led by Justice Gatembu Kairu stop his sentence that takes effect this Friday should he fail to present himself personally in court, flopped after the judges set the matter for hearing next week.
