Leading the charge, Kilifi County Governor Gideon Mung'aro has urged young people to join organized groups to access sponsorship and development opportunities, emphasizing that unemployment should not be an excuse for crime. Speaking at a funding handover ceremony for boda boda groups and widowed mothers, Mung'aro pledged to create employment opportunities through the Mariakani Municipality.The governor’s sentiments were echoed by Kaloleni MP Paul Katana, who stressed the need for unity in tackling insecurity. Meanwhile, Mariakani Police Chief Titus Mwaya reassured residents of their safety, encouraging them to report crimes without fear.
