Dairy farmers from Meru County have been urged to take advantage of the ongoing animal vaccination drive by the National Government.This was the call byMeru Dairy Union Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Gitonga. Gitonga says it is crucial for dairy farmers to ensure protection of their cattle through vaccination to prevent diseases, especially during the rainy season. Additionally, he says the dairy union targets to process over one million liters of milk every day by the end of next year, noting that currently, the union processes 6000 liters per day. He also encouraged the youth to venture into agriculture, preferably dairy farming, due to the increased demand for milk.
