Dozens of residents in Gatanga flock to hospitals after allegedly consuming contaminated meat

Dozens of residents in Gatanga Murangà County checked into various health facilities after consuming contaminated meat and showing symptoms of anthrax. The county`s health department, led by its director James Mbugua in partnership with national government officials, responded to the calls for assistance and treated the individuals, majority of who were adults. The residents were subsequently urged to avoid consuming uninspected meat or coming into contact with sick animals.
