Tension is high in Embu town after residents blocked roads in the area protesting the abduction of Billy Mwangi at a barber shop last Saturday. In a day of protest the residents led by the area MP camped at Embu Police Station where they gave police a 24-hour ultimatum to release mwangi or deal with daily protests in the area. Activists in Nairobi who have condemned the recent abductions have announced, 30th December as the day for the mother of all demonstrations against abductions in the country.
