The National Disaster Operation Center (NDOC) based at the ministry of interior and coordination of national government in collaboration with other stakeholders will engage the youth in disaster mitigation and management to address current and emerging disasters in Kenya.Speaking during the 10th National Symposium for Disaster Risk Reduction in Kilifi County, Peter Murgor the Disaster Risk Reduction and Cash manager with the Kenya Red Cross ,said that as stakeholders, they have noted that the disasters and corresponding responses have resulted to creating conflicts among communities due to land ownership.
