Fishermen in Kokwa Island, Baringo County have today held demonstrations in Lake Baringo over what they term punitive fishing laws that have denied them their source of livelihood Armed with twigs and placards, the fisherfolk faulted the fisheries department for introducing four-inch fishing nets which they say has reduced their catch. Meanwhile, Baringo County Chief Executive Committee Member (CECM) of Agriculture and Fisheries Risper Chepkonga said the County Government will look into their plight and address the matter with urgency.
