Four arrested in Kitui over KPLC power cable vandalism

Police in Ikutha Sub-County, Kitui, arrested four suspects linked to the vandalism of Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) infrastructure after intercepting a Mitsubishi Canter lorry along the Kamutei–Ndithini–Munguni Road. A search revealed the vehicle was loaded with 26 KPLC cables, 40 clamps, and two hacksaws. The suspects were taken to Ikutha Police Station, where they remain in custody pending arraignment. The lorry and recovered items were secured as evidence.
