There is a need to address the growing challenge of childhood cancer in Kenya. According to Dr. Robert Nyarango, Gertrude’s Children's Hospital Chief Executive Officer, approximately 3,000 new childhood cancer cases are diagnosed annually in Kenya, and many more likely going undetected. Dr Nyarango has subsequently called for early screening and detection to curb the killer disease.
