The government has broken its silence on the controversial fertiliser saga, amid claims that it sold donated Russian fertiliser to farmers. Agriculture Principal Secretary Dr Kiprono Rono now says the consignment from Russia was not finished fertiliser, but raw materials that were processed locally, into cheaper and more suitable formulations.
