Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti found herself on the receiving end after she was caught up in a riot over a disputed piece of land near Kyumbi town along Mombasa road. The governor had gone to the area after learning that the police were battling with MCAs and members of the public protesting the invasion of the land on the Machakos Kyumbi road by private developers.
