Govt forms team to review new university funding model

Education cabinet secretary Julius Ogamba has announced fresh efforts by the government to address issues raised on the new university funding model, saying that the government has agreed to form two broad-based working committees comprising student leaders to review the status of the implementation of the university funding model following public uproar. It is a move that has seen student leaders from various universities call for goodwill to be expedited so that short-term remedies can be considered, while a commitment is put for the long-term solution to the problems.
