The government has set up a multi-sectoral agency that will spearhead efforts aimed at bringing to an end Gender Based Violence and arresting the rising cases of femicide in the country. The multi-sectoral agency that will include state agencies, religious leaders and civil societies among others will come up with a holistic approach aimed at eliminating the alarming incidents of femicide. According to the National Police Service, at least 97 women have been killed over the past three months.
