Govt urged to speed up construction of grade 9 classrooms

Public primary schools across Kenya are grappling with significant challenges as Grade 8 students prepare to transition to grade 9 in January 2025. Speaking at Mukuru Kwa Njenga primary school in Embakasi South Constituency during the handover of classrooms built by the National Government Constituency Development Fund, the Parent Teacher Association Chairman Peter Kirui, urged the government to provide additional classrooms, laboratories and clear transition guidelines to ensure all learners proceed without disruption.
