A group of women from Dagoretti North led by Women Peace Caravan chair Nairobi County Mary Njuguna have come out in defence of Chief Justice Martha Koome following calls for her resignation. Speaking in Kawangware, the women hailed efforts by the CJ of launching courts at the sub county level which they say has greatly addressed the legal challenges faced by most informal dwellers. They have threatened to mobilize for countrywide protests if their plea is not considered. Currentl,y there are two petitions filed before the courts seeking for the removal from office of the Chief Justice.
