Health experts raise alarm over surge in lifestyle diseases in Gatundu South

Health experts have sounded the alarm over a sharp rise in lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer among residents of Gatundu South. The concern was raised during a free medical camp organised by Mama Ngina University College in partnership with healthcare institutions on Sunday, October 13, 2025. Medical officers revealed that many locals are silently battling chronic illnesses due to limited access to healthcare services and the high cost of treatment.
