The race to fill vacant commissioner seats at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) intensified Wednesday, as the IEBC selection panel placed six candidates under intense scrutiny pressing them on their records and readiness to oversee one of the country’s most delicate democratic processes. Among those interviewed was James Leiro Letangule, a senior manager at the Social Health Authority (SHA), who came under sharp questioning from the Nelson Makanda-led panel. Letangule was forced to defend his current institution amid mounting concerns over integrity and a growing trust deficit within the SHA. Ben Chumba reports.
