At least 13,000 learners in 168 Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) Centers across the ten wards of Isiolo County are now set to receive a cup of fortified porridge each school day courtesy of the County Government. Speaking at the Isiolo Police grounds when he flagged off lorries ferrying the bags of fortified porridge flour to the respective ECDE Centers, County Secretary Dade Boru noted that the flour that is already precooked is very rich in nutrients that will aid in the growth of the learners, adding that the move would also help in retention of the learners in school.
