Kitui county commissioner Kipchumba Ruto has spearheaded a tree planting exercise in Mwingi North in a bid to increase forest cover and combat climate change effects.The administrator led the members of public and local leaders in the two day exercise, where 14,000 trees were planted in public institutions among them Kyuso law courts. The County commissioner urged the locals to take advantage of the ongoing rains to plant trees.
