Homa Bay County Commissioner Moses Lilan has issued a stern warning to individuals engaging in illegal activities among them illegal fishing and child labour around Lake Victoria.Speaking after a crackdown ,Lilan disclosed that there is a drastic reduction of fish from 100,000 metric tonnes to 39,000 metric tonnes, urging fishermen to comply with fishing regulations. The warning comes as part of a larger, multi-sectoral effort to combat illegal fishing practices, spearheaded by the Kenya Fisheries Service.
