Social media and the rapid deployment of artificial intelligence is emerging as a key area of concern for intelligence services around the world. A conference of intelligence services held in Naivasha last Friday saw intelligence chiefs sharing concerns ranging from information to misinformation and on to the rise of online activism. The director of the national intelligence service Noordin Haji hosted the conference that also saw the participation of his three predecessors.
