The Kakamega branch of the Kenya National Union of Nurses has distanced itself from the nationwide nurses' strike scheduled to begin on Monday. The decision follows a meeting between the branch leadership and the Kakamega County government, during which an agreement was reached to address the nurses' grievances. While addressing the press at the Kakamega County General Hospital, the branch secretary, Eliud Molenje, announced that the county government had committed to fulfilling key demands.
