A section of opposition leaders led by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his DAP-K counterpart Eugene Wamalwa has termed the signing of the working partnership between President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as a “betrayal in the city”. Speaking when they joined the People Dialogue festival at Uhuru Park Nairobi, the politicians said the partnership would only make sense if it comes up with a formula to compensate Kenyans who lost their loved ones during the street protests witnessed in 2023 and 2024.
