Kenya Loses Ksh 147 Billion to Illicit Trade as KAM Warns of Rising Counterfeits and Tax Burden

Kenya has lost a staggering Ksh 80 billion in the textile industry and another Ksh 67 billion due to illicit alcohol sales, as illegal trade continues to rise. The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Is sounding the alarm, warning that excessive taxation and counterfeits are crippling businesses and making the operating environment even more challenging.
