Kenyans rescued from Myanmar narrate their ordeal

Tonight, we bring you the harrowing ordeal of young Kenyans who left home in pursuit of a better future, only to fall prey to a ruthless online scam syndicate in Myanmar. At the heart of this nightmare are rogue agents, fellow Kenyans, who, without shame or conscience, sell their own countrymen and women to criminal networks operating in the war-torn Asian nation. Lured by the promise of lucrative jobs, these victims found themselves trapped in a web of modern-day slavery, held hostage by merciless cybercrime cartels. Our reporter, Emily Chebet, spoke to some of the survivors and brings us their heartbreaking accounts from a dark underworld where hope is traded, freedom is stolen, and lives are torn apart.
