The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), and the Kenya Union of Post Primary Teachers have remained adamant that their industrial action is still on come August 26th saying their issues have not been resolved except for the commitment to implement the 2021 collective bargaining agreement. However, the Teachers Service Commission is reading from a different script claiming that the meeting with the teachers' unions was harmonious and all issues have been resolved. It now remains to be seen whether teachers will resume normal operations come Monday or not.
