Kenya National Union of Teachers [KNUT] has urged the Teachers Service Commission [TSC] to restore the affirmative action status for Kajiado County-based teachers, citing its designation as a hardship area. Speaking during the annual teachers meeting, KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu stressed that Kajiado County remains a hardship area making the status crucial for teachers working in the region.He also called for the recruitment of more teachers to meet the UNESCO recommended teacher-student ratio.
