According to Dr. Lilian Nyawanda, the commissioner for customs & border control (c&bc), the expansion aims to bring services closer to residents, ensuring easier access to tax-related assistance. Additionally, KRA seeks to enhance tax collection from cross-border trade with neighboring countries, including South Sudan, Uganda, and Ethiopia.
