The government in partnership with other development partners has launched a ksh.646.7 billion Kenya Food and Nutrition Resilience Program, aimed at transforming food security and nutrition in 24 Arid and Semi-Arid Lands(ASAL), benefiting 5 million people. The funding is part of the 19 billion dollar budget which covers 3 other countries Somalia, South- Sudan and Ethiopia where the programme is also being implemented
